24-HR FILM CONTEST

 Theatre Guild’s 2025 24-Hour Film Contest 
List of Requirements:

Required Theme: This year's theme is "A Special Day". This could be a holiday, a birthday, a wedding day, an anniversary, etc. Be creative and have fun!
Required Location: This year’s required location is a restaurant. You can show either the exterior or the interior of the restaurant 

Required Line of Dialogue: This year’s required line of dialogue is “Nobody puts Baby in a corner”

Required Prop: This year’s required prop is a cake. This can be a dessert cake of any kind for your special day, or you can choose to feature the dessert cake in a way that is unrelated to your special day. Be creative and have fun!

Required Song: This year’s required song is “Taste the Biscuit” by Vincent Gargiulo & Toasters ‘n’ Moose. You can find this song on the Chicken in the Shadows Original Soundtrack Album on Spotify or Apple Music or at this YouTube link: Taste the Biscuit . For those who have never been exposed to the masterpiece trainwreck that is Chicken in the Shadows, you’re welcome!
NOTE: You do NOT have to feature the entire song, only enough of the song for it to be recognized as being in your film.

📽️THEME: “Special Days”
Details:
Think of moments that bring people together — for better or worse.

It could be Christmas, Thanksgiving, a birthday, a wedding, an anniversary, a reunion, or any other special occasion.
Your film should capture the energy, emotion, or spirit of the day you choose.

📽️CONTEST KICKOFF INFO
At 10 AM on Saturday, November 15, participants will log on to our official website to receive the required elements for their films, including:
  • A location in Morristown, TN
  • A prop to include in your film
  • A specific line of dialogue
  • A song that must appear in your film in some way

📽️FILM GUIDELINES
  • Length: 5–25 minutes
  • Deadline: 10 AM on Sunday, November 16
  • Your film should be filmed, edited, and uploaded to our Google Drive or transferred from a USB device to our drop-off location (to be announced) no later than 10AM on Sunday, November 16th.
    All films will be given a movie rating prior to the screening at the film festival (G, PG, PG-13, or R). Films with an R-rating will be shown after an intermission, providing individuals with children the opportunity to leave prior to their screening, if so desired.

Categories for Adults and Students(middle and high school) 
When registering, filmmakers will provide details about their equipment and editing software.
This helps us divide participants into two fair competition levels: Regular Tech and High Tech.
