More about our 2017 season:

The Cast List

by Gayle Greene
Feb 10 -18
A non-stop 2-act comedy by Knoxville playwright Gayle Greene, who has had several of her original plays produced by the Tennessee Stage Company in Knoxville. “The Cast List” premiered in March 2016 at Theatre Knoxville Downtown. This bright comedy reveals a small theatre company attempting to stage a production of “Romeo and Juliet”. However, by mistake the lead roles are given to the wrong people and the result is a very funny send-up of theatre itself and Shakespeare.

High School Musical

Music and lyrics by Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, Ray and Greg Cham, Drew Seeley, Randy Petersen, Kevin Quinn, Andy Dodd, Adam Watts, Bryan Louiselle, David N. Lawrence, Faye Greenberg and Jamie Houston, and a book by David Simpatico.
July
Back by popular demand!! 2017 marks the 10th anniversary of the Guild’s first production of this smash-hit musical, and it promises to be bigger, bolder, and more fun than ever!

Something Wicked This Way Comes

by Ray Bradbury
Sept 8-16
Legendary fantasy writer Ray Bradbury is world-renowned for his excellent stories, and this play, written by Bradbury himself is based on his novel of the same name. The story is set in late fall as two best friends, Jim Nightshade and Will Halloway, watch a mysterious carnival roll into town. Jim and Will are inexplicably drawn to the fairground filled with supernatural characters, like the sinister Mr. Dark, the Dust Witch and a haunted carousel. Jim, Will and Will’s father struggle valiantly to save their town from the secrets and spells of Mr. Dark’s carnival. It’s also a story about growing up, about family and about how goodness and innocence are tested by time and fear and hope.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL

by Charles Dickens

Dec 8-16

A classic story of the Christmas season, the Guild’s production will include eye-popping visual effects – no Christmas Carol like this has ever been staged before, as the Ghosts Past, Present and Future, and Ebenezer Scrooge embark on a journey of a lifetime on Christmas Eve.
